Milan and London, 5 July 2018 – DAZN, the first global pure-sport, live and on-demand streaming service has today announced the appointment of Veronica Diquattro to lead the latest addition to its rapidly growing business, DAZN Italy.

Diquattro joins DAZN as Executive Vice President, Revenue from Spotify where she was Managing Director, Southern and Eastern Europe responsible for driving its strategic direction and growth in 16 countries. In her new role, Diquattro will work to establish DAZN in the market with fans and partners as one of the country’s leading sport broadcasters, for what will be a game-changing year for sport streaming.

DAZN recently announced its entry into the Italian market after securing exclusive multi-platform broadcast rights for Serie A and Serie B over three seasons. Starting from 2018/19, DAZN will show 114 Serie A matches a season, including Saturday night matches, and all 472 Serie B matches including 428 exclusively. More premium rights will be confirmed soon, with DAZN due to go live this summer with a full multi-sport offering for €9.99 a month and no long-term contract.

Before her role as MD of Southern and Eastern Europe at Spotify, she was its Director of Markets Strategy and Operations and oversaw the successful launch of Spotify in Italy. Prior to Spotify, based in Dublin, she was at Google in charge of launching the Android Market and Google Play in Italy and supported Google Play in EMEA Markets.

She previously held roles at L’Oréal, BMW and Ferrari. A key member of the global leadership team, Diquattro reports to DAZN CEO James Rushton.

Diquattro is the latest in a line of senior hires to joined DAZN. Thomas de Buhr joined DAZN as EVP Revenue for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) from Twitter where he was MD of Germany. Former ESPN President John Skipper has joined Perform Group as Executive Chairman ahead of DAZN’s launch in the U.S. this summer.
