LONDON, 15 January – DAZN, the largest, fastest-growing global sports streaming service, has announced today that Julian Skeels has joined as VP Product Acquisition, Retention and Payments. In this role, Julian will be leading the definition and execution of the membership experience – ensuring DAZN creates authentic, long-term relationships with our customers.

Julian joins DAZN from Amazon Prime Video, where he was responsible for leading customer acquisition and payment expansion initiatives. During his four and a half years in the product management team, he helped launch Prime Video in more than 200 countries and led Amazon’s integration with Apple and Google in-app payments and mobile operators in more than 100 countries.

Prior to this, Julian held product management roles at Apple and Microsoft, as well as multiple growth-stage companies. He previously led Product Management for multimap.com that culminated in the sale of the business to Microsoft in 2007, where he helped drive the launch of Bing Maps in the UK.

Julian brings a wealth of experience to the company, having launched similar services in hundreds of countries around the world, whilst always keeping the customer front of mind. We’re excited to welcome Julian to the team and the ideas he’ll bring to DAZN.”

Julian expressed his excitement about joining DAZN during this period of growth: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at DAZN. I’ve admired DAZN’s work for some time, and I have been highly impressed with the ambition of the company and the calibre of the team. It was pretty much impossible to refuse a role that blended my love of sports with creating great customer experiences!”
