DAZN UPS BRUNO ROCHA TO LEAD EXPANSION OF SPORT STREAMING SERVICE IN BRAZIL

London, 16 April 2019 – DAZN, the first global pure-sport live and on-demand streaming service, has announced today that Bruno Rocha will lead the business in Brazil as Executive Vice President, Revenue.

In this leadership role, Rocha assumes overall responsibility for overseeing the launch and strategic growth of the revolutionary sport streaming service in the market, building the brand with fans, partners and rights holders.

DAZN is the new home of Copa Sudamericana, Serie A and Ligue 1 in Brazil, with additional premium rights including the Supercoppa Italiana, FA Cup and WTA. The product will officially launch in a few weeks’ time, when all details will be confirmed, including the price and full multi-sport lineup.

Rocha takes up the role after serving as Chief Commercial Officer for Perform Content, the B2B division of DAZN Group, where he has led partnerships with some of the largest rights holders in global sport, including the WTA, FIBA, CONMEBOL and the NFL. Prior to Perform, Rocha was at the NBA where he worked on business development initiatives across Latin American markets.

His appointment comes at a landmark moment for DAZN, as it prepares to launch in its ninth market, Brazil. DAZN first launched in Japan, Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2016, adding Canada in 2017 and launching in Italy and the U.S. in 2018. Spain went live this year.
