The profile of women’s football around the world has never been higher and the opportunities it presents for athletes continue to grow.
As the world looks ahead to the start of a new UEFA Champions League campaign next month, Santander has unveiled its flagship digital campaign by DAZN Media, “Becas”, meaning scholarship in Spanish.
Launched this week as the latest of Santander’s “Football Can” moments, “Becas” explores the real stories of two young women with a love and talent for football – and how Santander helped them realise their dreams to study abroad and play elite football.
The campaign consists of three, one-minute films distributed across Santander’s owned social channels, Fútbol Santander, as well as the global football portal, Goal. The first film is now live across major international markets, including Spain, Germany, Latin America, the Nordics and the U.K.
The end-to-end content campaign builds on the two companies’ existing work together. DAZN Media has been delivering Santander’s social and digital strategy for the past two years, amplifying the brand’s football sponsorship for some of the world’s biggest leagues – including UEFA Champions League, La Liga Santander and Conmebol Libertadores.
