DAZN and Samsung: Working together to enhance the sports viewing experience

It’s that time of year when we’d normally be admiring the latest devices at the consumer electronics show, IFA in Berlin. However, innovation is often born out of adversity and today’s virtual experience ‘Life Unstoppable’ from Samsung showed it’s still possible to make an impact with impressive yet virtual product launches.

DAZN teamed up with Samsung to showcase its 2020 product portfolio with a polished and inspiring virtual experience that brought their brand new devices to life. Our very own Chief Subscription Officer, Ben King was invited to help unveil their latest outdoor TV ‘The Terrace’.

Speaking during the virtual experience, Ben said: “It’s been a challenging year for sports. Now it is back on our screens, but there’s one thing missing – and that’s the fans in stadiums, which makes watching at home more important than ever.”

“So, DAZN is delighted to be available on the ultimate outdoor sports viewing experience – The Terrace. Meaning you can recreate that live stadium atmosphere in your garden, and in pristine picture quality.”

For the past four years, Samsung and DAZN have been working together to enhance the sport viewing experience – bringing fans at home the best live sport on the biggest and highest quality screens, across mobile, tablet, laptop and TV.

Now DAZN and Samsung are partnering on further integrations and innovations to better the fan experience.

Ben continued: “We have a very simple philosophy at DAZN, which is to make sport easier to find, quicker to access and better to watch. Working with Samsung makes this a reality.

“We’ve collaborated on smart integrations that make it even easier for fans to discover and enjoy great content. By feeding live fixtures data directly into Samsung’s Universal Guide, we’ve made it easier for customers to discover the sport they love and instantly get into the action.”

“With the launch of The Terrace, we’re looking forward to continuing our innovation with Samsung to create even better sport viewing experiences together,” King added.
