DAZN are winners at the Content Innovation Awards

DAZN has been recognised for a fantastic first year by taking home ‘OTT TV Service of the Year’ at the Content Innovation awards. The ceremony, hosted by Digital TV Europe in partnership with Television Business International, took place in the stunning InterContinental Carlton hotel in Cannes and celebrated the most impressive innovations in TV content creation, distribution, and technology over the past year.

Some of the biggest names from within the industry were there to showcase their work from the past 12 months, with winners from many different categories including Love Island and National Geographic.

Since launch DAZN has gone from newcomer to big player in the market in a year that saw it win the rights to the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League from the 2018/19 season in three territories, successfully show the greatest sporting event of the century – Mayweather vs. McGregor – exclusively in Germany, Austria and Japan, and launch a new territory in Canada.

Chief Product Officer, Ben Lavender, and Director of New Markets, Marcus Parnwell, were on hand to enjoy the evening and collect the award in DAZN’s name. Many congratulations to all winners and a massive thank you to Digital TV Europe for hosting such a fantastic event.
