With the EFL Cup Final between Manchester United and Southampton taking place on Sunday, we spoke to United fan and Product Manager of Mobile and Discovery, Mujahid Ali, about what he has been working on recently and to get his predictions for the big game.

It’s been a very busy time for Muj and the team as DAZN builds up the start of the new J.League season, and as a manager of mobile and discovery there are two main parts to Muj’s job; to look at making DAZN accessible on as many mobile products and devices as possible and also how to improve the discovery of content.

“We are already available on lots of mobile devices including iOS, Android and web browsers, and we’re constantly looking to add new devices and applications to the list. In terms of discovery, one of my main focus’ is how we can make the service more personable to a user, ensuring a seamless experience and tailoring to fans’ specific interests.”

So what are Muj’s predictions for the big game?

“Despite having a few injuries to important players such as Carrick and Mkhitaryan, we should still have enough to fend off Southampton! I reckon United will win 2-0 with goals coming from Zlatan (who else!) and Pogba.”

However, the Saints have had an impressive run to the final and are yet to concede a goal in the competition, beating Arsenal and Liverpool on the way to their first appearance at Wembley since the 2010 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final.

What about his expectations for the rest of the season?

“With the club still realistically in three competitions as well as fighting for a top four place, it’s looking pretty promising for us at the moment. We’ve only had one defeat in our last 25 games. I’m really happy with Jose’s work so far, but if we fail to win the EFL Cup, finish in the top four or make it to the Europa League final, then he has to go!”

Fans will be able to watch this Sunday’s EFL Cup Final live in all countries that DAZN is available in.
